Mouse in the Ukulele?

Ok, I know I'm new at this whole mom thing... but I think a mouse has taken up residence inside of my little Ukulele. That girl SQUEAKS! And not only does she squeak, she grunts. ALL THE TIME. So much so that it freaked my friend out who claims her one-year-old son never made those noises.

Is this normal? I have not checked with the all-knowing-go.ogle yet because I knew the bloggers would have better information.

Oh - an adoption related note - I'm starting to get the comment that I look fantastic for having a three-week-old. My response? "Thanks!" Let them think I have a personal trainer whose whipping me into shape while my nanny takes care of my newborn. I mean, hey, don't we all have the means to be that way like the Hollywood Tartlets?

so, so, so many squeaks and grunts and gugles. You name it, he made it. It sounds to me like your Ukulele is right on target. :0)

Not sure about the case of the squeaks, it sounds normal to me(for what it's worth).

I loved the part about the personal trainer, what they don't know won't hurt them... hee hee.

I had the same reaction you do, I'd just say "thanks!" unless they asked whether I delivered vaginally or C/S and then I'd say "neither! I adopted! and just smile serenely.

About the squeaks, Evie made all kinds of funny barnyard animal noises during the first 6 weeks...sheep (the first cry we heard from her in the hospital sounded exactly like bleating), ferrets, cats. I wouldn't have been surprised by mice :)

Squeaks, Grunts, and Squeals - OH MY! Totally normal and freakin adorable if I might say say so!

I really miss those early infancy noises when they are trying out their voices. Maybe she'll be an early talker? Who knows.

And - DAMN you look good! (just thought you might want to hear it - yet again)

Never, ever tell LOL! I think my glow was genuine, though . . .

I imagine people are trying to do the math about my age a lot, and I don't help them AT ALL haha!

congratulations!
