I have read 2,444 pages since approximately 11:00 p.m. (EST) on Novemer 25. My eyes are tired -- my mind is wired. Damn you, Ed.ward Cul.len! I have completed the "Twi.light" series and am sad.
My re-entrance into the general population can now commence.
*UPDATE*: I just found 264 more pages of her 5th book (from Edward's point-of-view *pitter-pat pitter-pat*) on her website.... YAY! So it looks like I'm not done (yet) after all!
* SECOND UPDATE*: Elle requested a series review, so I have put one in the comment section if you are interested in reading it.

Hilarious! So, give us the review -- should I join you on the bandwagon?
I know very little about the series, but I'm a sucker for a good page-turner.
At Elle's request:
I decided to do my book review here instead of doing a new post about it.
So... should you read the series? YES! As soon as I finished one, I picked up the next one.
The first one was fantastic. Though there are no sexual scenes, the book is absolutely erotic. It is written so well, and it does not matter that the characters are high-school age. My gauge of a good book (and movie for that matter) is if I can get so immersed in it that I envision myself right there while it is happening. This book does not leave me disappointed.
The second of the series is still very good. As is the third. However, you can start to tell that she was trying to get them written quickly.
The fourth book was not nearly as good as the first three... but I still enjoyed it. Have you ever heard the phrase "jump the shark"? Well, she does it here. The heroine, Bella, does a complete 180 - but to her defense she does "change" in this book. Many people indicated that I should just skip this book, but there is no way I could have kept myself from it. I still read it just as fast as the others, and still enjoyed it... but the writing, characters, and plot felt rushed.
I have not read the fifth excerpt (which is located on the author's website) but I am very much looking forward to it. It is the mirror of the first book - but told from Edward's perspective. And let's face it, what other reason is there to get so engrossed in this series besides Edward?!?!
Hope this helps those of you who are on the fence as to whether to pick up these books or not. They are a fast read, a good read, and just what a lot of us need while we are trying to forget about the 2ww; IVF; revocation periods; or just infertility in general.
